A year ago I talked my husband into getting chickens. Who could have known that three little chickens would give two people so much pleasure. In the beginning we researched breeds of chickens for their temperment and egg laying production. We came up with the breed Black Stars, friendly, docile and egg laying machines. They have proven themselves on all accounts. They arrived at the post office and I went to retrieve them at 7:30 one morning. They were adorable from day one. We named them Beyonce, Michelle and Oprah. My husband goes for a walk with his girls every evening after work. Along with having chickens comes the dangers of owning them...posts to come!
