Yesterday was record heat! It is about time! Unfortunately I have that thing we call a job so I did not get to enjoy it. Yesterday was the first day I was at O&H by myself. Kara is on vacation.....I have to say I stressed myself out pretty quietly and was exhausted by the time I got home. All I wanted to do was sit on the couch! Jeff went out and enjoyed the warm summer evening and I plan tonight no matter how tired I am....I am going out!
But this morning is cool and sunny and so I walked aroung the garden and snapped a few pictures of some of my flowers that are really beginning to bloom!
Look at all the buds, when this blooms all out it is going to be gorgeous!
This is one of my favorites. Odd looking but the hummingbirds love it. I planted some other varieties but they haven't come up yet?
This is Jeff's favorite...Shasta Daisies
This is one of my pots out front, finally starting to grow and flower! Amazing what a little warm sun does!
I love this bush....it is a little wild but you can trim it into a shape if you like. Myself I like it wild looking, I especially like it that my favorite flower is growing in behind it and if you look closely there is a Lilly in there too!
This Lilly is full of buds.....when it is in full bloom I will take a picture!
Beautiful flowers and photos! I think the flowers are all doing the happy dance with the sun and heat!
ReplyDeleteP.S. My refrigerator has been broken since Tuesday and the repairman comes today. I'm hoping he can fix it. Thank goodness for the mini college refrigerator and downstairs freezers!
ReplyDeleteThank you....I love the sun and heat too! The only thing is I wish we had air conditioning for the night time. It is pretty warm upstairs but I slept pretty well considering. Sorry about the refrigerator I know the feeling. Maybe you can get a pretty new one like mine :)
ReplyDeleteOne of the best things we did was put in the heat pump. It helped a lot yesterday...I almost feel guilty that I have air conditioning. I hope I don't have to buy a new refrigerator...I like mine. What brand is yours, just in case?
ReplyDeleteI told Jeff that we needed to look into air conditioning of some sort and he told me it wasn't worth it for just a few days!
ReplyDeleteLG is the name of my new frig!
