What do you do about a girl named Maria? If you have never owned a Whippett...be thankful! I really don't mean that, but for all their good points there might be twice as many bad. If there is trouble they will find it and it usually means a trip to the vet and quite a few stitches.
This morning Maria and I were at Purdy Veterinary Hospital bright and early to get stitches in her side from a little mishap the night before. Thank goodness I have Bob and he takes care of me and my dogs like he has for the last 30 years! And believe it or not after two years I still remembered how to hit a vein and intubate a dog! We were in at 8 and out by 8:30....I was only 20 minutes late to work at my new job and spent the rest of the day working and listening to Maria moaning under my desk! What a day..... but at the end of the day, I was lucky to have good friends that offered me a glass of wine and a good dinner! And now we are both very tired and are going to bed! I hope tomorrow is a little less eventful!
Poor Ree! Although I thought we were never getting another whippet after Tyler. We are now at 2 whippets later. Thank goodness for Bob, I cant wait for him to fix Maddie Grace Cantor! Tell him he better rest up for her, she is a mess!
ReplyDeleteI don't want to tell him....he might retire!
