Lady to the Rescue

Why do we do the things we do? For people who think they know me but really don't...this is what I do. I find special dogs....no matter how small or how old..I find them and I bring them home.

"Old Lady" as we called her was a stray at the shelter. She was old and lumpy but so sweet. How could a dog of her age know tricks, love to go for rides in the car and yet be a stray. How could someone not miss her?

And how many dogs are too many? In our house....those who live here...always welcome those who are less fortunate.
I believe I have passed this trait on to my daughter. As a mother I think this is the best thing I could have taught her.....compassion for those less fortunate and love for everything worth loving. This next picture is of "Hope" (who always seems to be in trouble) another stray that blessed our lives and still does. But I will let Darcie tell the rest of this story!

  1. Oh Hopey-ona-Ropey. You know she was a good dog until she realized she was staying forever. Now she is rotten!

Old Lady...I still remember when we went to get her. She was just a cool dog and as old as they come. In fact she might have been Jesus' dog! HEHEHEHEHE!

You have past that trait on to me and sometimes it gets me into trouble, but oh well there is always room for one more!

  3. Yes, you taught your daughter well. I am so glad you are both blogging about your dogs, because I can never keep up with how many and who you have. I think I will stick to one dog for now. You found a good one with Lucy, so I don't need anymore!
