Peaceful Ponds

Do you remember the sound of the water rushing through a stream on a warm summer day? Quiet and Peaceful except for the sound of the water. Well....that is what I have wanted in my backyard for years. I finally talked Jeff into cutting down the beautiful Grand Fir tree in the backyard because that would be the perfect place for our pond/waterfall feature. One and a half years later after enduring the empty place that had turned into a weed patch which by the way "the girls" loved we finally got our pond. It took only three days to construct with the knowledge and manpower of Brett and his men. Each day after work we would come home to see the progress. Much to our surprise the first day was the size of the pond! The second day the size of the rocks and then finally the amount of water! Remember the quiet and peace of the water.....not so much....it sounded like Niagra Falls! Brett then placed a valve so that we could turn down the flow........ahhhh peaceful water flowing! The job is almost complete, there is still some planting that needs to take place. I am hoping for next week! Enjoy the pictures!
